A large number of migratory swans and geese photographed near our croft in November 2015. I am always surprised to see so many geese and swans together, there must be some form of advantage to both, possibly protection from foxes. Anyway when you try and get close to a flock of swans / geese you are often seen well before you can get close enough to take photographs of them. On this occasion I had the advantage of tall hedging that bordered the single track road I was driving home on, from Wick. At time of writing, April 2018, I have seen far fewer flocks of swans / geese during this winter than in earlier years.
